Truck and SUV Pull

The Terryville Lions Country Fair introduced the Truck Pull in 2012, and it was a huge success! For our second year, we hope to again pack the Terryville Fairgrounds with lots of trucks on Friday night for this event!

General Registration Information

Due to last year's high volume of registrations and this year's expected high volume, we are asking those who are participating in the Truck Pull to register online in advance to prevent delays at the time of the event. NOTE: Online registrations will only become valid when drivers arrive at the event with the required documentation, a valid photo ID and registration payment. Failure to arrive with all three items WILL disqualify participants. Documentation requirements can be found below as well as pulling fees and regulations. Drivers are also required to read and understand these regulations prior to arriving at the Truck Pull.

New for 2013 - Online Registration: Advance online registration will begin August 1, 2013 and the cutoff will be 11:00am on August 23, 2013. Contestants who miss the online registration window are welcome to print an entry form and fill it out in advance to bring to the event, or they may register in person the day of the pull before 6:00pm. Regardless of registration method all contestants are required to sign and submit waiver in addition to registration before 6:00pm. Failure to do so WILL disqualify participants.

Documentation Requirements

Upon arrival drivers must show current vehicle registration and insurance paperwork (event is only open to street legal vehicles gas or diesel). Drivers under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the consent form.

Registration Fees

The initial registration fee will be $25.00 which includes the entry and first class, and then each class is an additional $20.00 per puller per class.

Four Wheel Drive Street Legal Stock Truck and SUV Pulling Regulations

• DRIVERS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND SUBJECT TO PROSCECUTION IF DRUGS AND/OR ALCOHOL ARE BROUGHT ON THE PROPERTY. THIS WILL BE A ZERO TOLLERANCE POLICY AND REGISTRATION PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
• The Fair, sled operator and helpers are not responsible for breakage or harm to the pulling vehicle or persons involved.
• The initial registration fee will be $25.00 which includes the entry and first class, and then each class is an additional $20.00 per puller per class.
• Registration cutoff will be 6:00pm on the day of the pull (August 23, 2013). No registration after pulling begins.
• Open to street legal vehicles gas or diesel.
• One fuel only and additives are not allowed.
• Must show current vehicle registration and insurance upon arrival.
• Drivers must be at least 18 years of age or must have their parent or guardian sign the consent form if under the age of 18.
• Drivers must wear helmets, seat belts and shirts.
• Drivers must have complete control at all times. "Hot rodding" is not permitted.
• All Vehicles must be in park or neutral while being hooked to sled.
• Jerking of the chain is not allowed. Drivers must start with a tight chain.
• The first and second puller will be the test pullers in each class. When sled is set those pullers can accept that pull or pull again immediately.
• The hitch point must not be over 26" high and be able to receive hook on sled (2.5"). This will be measured at a straight outward position.
• Only a mechanical failure will allow anyone to pull again at the end of a class.
• Any vehicle that goes on or over boundary lines will be disqualified.
• Vehicles that need extra weight for a class must have weight secured. If weight lost while hooked to sled truck will be disqualified.
• No added weight in front of stock bumper support. Plow hitch or winch is acceptable. Front weight are to be added in the open class only.
• U-joints must be duct taped if exposed or in sight.
• The first and second winners in all classes must weigh out if scales are available.
• D.O.T. approved tires only.
• No solid suspension and one inch clearance is required.
